Default Kinked fuel line

Hey guys this is my first post so bare with me.

I just bought my 91 XJ and i have a kinked fuel line in the supply line running to the rail. I have looked for a replacement line for it but im having trouble finding the parts at my local parts stores. I would like to not have to replace the metal hardline if i dont have to but im not sure how to go about squeezing a new nylon line onto the hard line. (The old line is nylon.) Could i just get some of the universal rubber fuel line and clamp it on both sides? Im just worried about longevity issues or possible leaks. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. I will upload some photos.

Having trouble uploading pictures from my phone. I will try to get some up but my internet is down.

Its a 4.0 by the way. Not sure why they even made the 2.5...

Let me know if you need more info

Alright. I have done quite a bit of searching and still cant seem to find what i need. If anyone has done this before i could at least use a second opinion. Might end up pulling a whole fuel line from filter to rail at my local jeep dismantler.

You should be able to remove the kinked line from the rail and right when it hits the hard line, driver side right as the unibody turns towards the back. As far as replacement you'll want it to have compression fittings as to not get leaks. I would hit up your local JY and pull that short soft hose and replace

Alright well thanks Doc. I know its a fairly simple fix i was just surprised at how difficult finding parts and info were for it. Seems there is a lot more renix and post 96 info out there. Thanks again.

You may be able to find steel braided line with compression fittings that could work. Just look around and measure the length needed. Biggest concern is a tight and secure fit. Nobody likes fuel leaks

Absolutely. Leaks are what im trying to avoid. I would love to only do this once which is why i was considering braided lines but i cant seem to find the right quick connects for them. But im headed to the JY this weekend so I'll see what i can find. If i do get one there the o rings in those fittings need to be replaced right\?

Yes o-rings will need to be replaced. Get some vaseline to help them seat without tearing
