Default ???FUEL ISSUES???

I put a 98 4.0 into a 2000 with a blown engine...converted the 2000 from auto to manual...used the tps from the manual along with all the necessary parts to make it run... ever since the first day the xj will lag within the first five minutes of running it then run normal after...when i say lag it will lose power and backfire or knock or bang like an engine will do when your pushing the gas and it is not getting any...i am wondering if there is something causing this besides than a fuel pump defection or possibly a clogged fuel filter??? any ideas???


it will sputter out and choke...and then regain and run right after it gets done doing that ...if i let it idle it will try and die then surge to keep running....will sometimes throw codes after it will run bad: short circuit and o2 but that will happen if it runs bad or i drive it with barely any gas in the tank... new fuel pump???

i already got new spark plugs, rotor button, distributor cap, and ignition wires...not sure if its the tps sensor...any thoughts?

i know there are major differences from 98 to 2000 with the motor primarily in the head as well as the ecu between a stick and auto

thats the main computer on the driver fender yeah?

did some research and i think im gonna have to get some new injectors
