Default fuel injector oring problem

I bought some fuel injectors and did like I saw in the forum for cleaning them up. Only thing is the new orings are loose and even after putting some engine oil on them and waiting for a month or so still no change. I'm a little nervous about putting them in that way as I've read if they leak my truck may catch fire. What makes the orings swell, heat from the engine, gas?? I'm at a bit of a loss so any input would be very appreciated. Thanx

I did the injector swap about two weeks ago and thought my o-rings were a tad loose also. I cant remember the part number of the o-rings I got but got the part number off this forum and they were from NAPA. I put them in with a little vasoline and they seem to be fine just how they are. If there not super loose I would just put them in and check for any vapors leaks after you start it?

see pics , those from NAPA. These rings are all black and afaik the only one "type" is offered.
I believe Advanced Autoparts sell exactly the same rings just with no "NAPA" logo on the box.
These are cheap. Work fine for me.

btw!
Also, when I was swapping my injectors, I was puzzling with that "brown and black" different rings as described in manual and could not find anybody in autoparts stores who knew a thing about such thing ...heh heh .. I called local Jeep/Chr. dealer's parts dept and the guy also didn't know what the hell am I talking about, then he talked to somebody and said that he can order those for me for (if I remeber correct) like $12 per "set" (sold in pairs) - that is set of two rings for 12 bucks!!!! , so it would end up like 70plus bucks just for rings .....
