Default fuel hose

I had to replace the fuel hose coming off the gas tank going to the metal line ... Question is that I used regular fuel line and was told that it would burst do to the pressure of the fuel pump because it is fuel injected and the hose is only 100 psi rated and is not for fuel injected jeeps
I have a 1999 xj 4.0...... will post a pic of the old line when I can

The hose should say what it's strength is right on it.

I believe factory pressure on the 99 at idle is only 49 psi, so a new line rated to a hundred isn't going to burst.

yes the factory psi is 49.2 and the hose does say 100 psi on it ... I think the guy just wanted to sell me a $45 hose kit and got it fixed for around $1.50
