Hi Folks,
my fuel gauge is always stuck on 3/4. The other gauges work. Just the tachometer is shaking a lil bit. Preowner said it might be the floater.
What should I replace?
thank you!
Marvin

"The fuel gauge sender is a variable resistor. It has a resistance of 88 ohms when the tank is full and 0 ohms when the tank is empty." from the FSM
Disconnect the harness at the fuel pump. Gauge should read FULL. (open circuit). On the pump side, you can measure the resistance across Pin A (violet) and Pin B (black). This is the sender side (not the pump). The resistance is fairly linear so half tank should be 44 ohms. So 3/4 would be around 22 ohms.
If you know you are not 3/4 full and the resistance is around 22 ohms, the sender is likely bad. If not, you may have a gauge issue or wiring.
