Fuel Gauge Not Working

Fuel Gauge Not Working
Just bought 1990 Cherokee Laredo and to get it running had to replace the fuel pump. Fuel gauge did not work prior to fuel pump install and is still not working...any help on how to trouble shoot would be appreciated
