Default fuel gauge

hello all,
please help. the story starts with error code P1494. goe to firestone they replace the leak detector pump. two days later code comes back. so no time for 5 months due to the need for OT at work.
finally take jeep back. needs new leak detector pump. ok i'll take it to the dealer. at the bottom of charge is a note from the technician "the vacuum hose was off" the engine light goes off. i assume they put the hose back on. yay i can pass inspection. next day jeep will not start. jump start with the hellp of my stepson. notice the voltage meter is at 19 and the fuel gauge says empty with no indicator light of it being empty. so i stop at wawa next to the local autozone. jeep will not start. ok battery is 5yrs old. purchase new battery. check engine light is still off, voltage indicator reads approx 13-14, fuel gauge still says empty with no light. i enjoy fixing the little things that i can handle. but this is out of my league. if anyone can help i will pray for good karma for you.

my e-mail is sdlonyer69@gmail.com
it is a 2000.

There's a function to test the cluster (see video). If the gauge responds, check the sender wiring back at the tank.
