Default Fuel gauge

My fuel gauge is reading about 1/8 less than whats really in the tank on my 99. Is this a hard fix ?

My 2000 does the same thing, be curious to see what the fix is for this

More then likely the float in the tank is out of adjustment. It can be a bit of a pain in the a$$ to get it adjusted right unless you have the correct measurement on where it is suppose to be set at.

could also be a faulty sending unit in the tank. if it were mine, i would just remember that its off. its not cheap to replace the sending unit if it is the problem.

How many miles on your Jeep?

Has the fuel pump module assembly ever been changed?

My 01 since new has done the same, and since I have more fuel than it shows I never worried about it,if it was the other way around,I would have done something
