Fuel gage prob.
The fuel gage on my 1994 Grand has stopped working. However the digital gage on the roof console still works (luckily).
Any ideas on how to fix the dash gage?
Thanks in advance.

I would start by checking all the fuses and make sure none are blown. If the look goo, you may wanna pull the instrument cluster and make sure all the connections are good with no shorts.

It's probably in the floats in the tank. Any easy way to get in there or do I have to drop it.
There must be a separate float to allow the overhead display to still tell me how far I have to go until empty.

As I understand the wiring, they use the opposite side of the signal for the roof, as they do for the fuel gauge.
Not real clear but they feed 12 volts negative to the float arm, off the top of the wire wound "gauge" resistor, the Dash mounted gauge is fed, off the bottom of the wire wound "gauge" resistor the Roof is fed.
Entirely possible a portion has gone out
I< feed to roof
I
I< 12 volts negative feed
I
I< feed to dash
As the 12 volt negative feed changes, due to fuel usage, the resistor changes the feed voltages.
Hope that's sort of clear.
