Default Fuel Float/Sending Unit Issue

I rebuilt my gauge cluster last week in hopes of fixing an issue with my fuel gauge, but it's still reading past F. My guess is my float is stuck or someting. Any ideas on how to fix it without dropping the fuel tank?

crawl under the jeep and look above the axle on the tank. you can pull the pump and sending unit out without dropping the tank
