I have an '01 with K&N, 4 hole injectors, 60mm TB, flow through cat, flowmaster 70 and on a recent 800 mile trip, mostly on the super slab at 70 MPH I got 24 highway and 22 overall (calculated - the on-board computer claimed a little more).

Since your tires are almost 11% taller than stock, that means your odometer is registering 11% less miles traveled. Multiply 12 & 14 by 1.11. Post #2 is the best answer.

I'm no expert, but a CAI and a performance exhaust should make things better. I've also read that a supercharger actually improves gas mileage, but that's a big undertaking.

First off it sounds like you have a problem somewhere, whether it be a sensor, or maybe just a tune up. I was only getting 14mpg city and did a tune up (I know it had been 4 years since its last tune up), my milegae jumped upto 18mpg. I have a 98 sport, 8" lift, 35's, 4.56 gears, lockers, and the speedo has been calibrated.
Onto mileage tips
Tire pressure
Tune up
Synthetic fluids in gear boxes (some might not think so but I switch all my gear boxes to synthetic in my diesel and gained 3mpg, and that was the only change made)
And I havnt done it yet but the upgraded injectors claim a better mpg (these are in the plans for me)

Take your foot off the skinny pedal 50 yds sooner and coast some when rolling up to red lights and stop signs. Most people stay on the gas to long and go striaght from the gas to the brake.
No he is not BSing you. I get 11mpg everyday driving and 23mpg on the hiway. No BS. Just got back from a 150 mile drive...23mpg. I get 11mpg around town...consistently, over a period of 6 months of checking the mpg. I been driving 42 years and I drive like what I am...an old man. I have a fresh tune up and I know how to check mpg and I guarantee you my figures are accurate. I can't explain it, its just that way.

'94, 5 speed, 30x9.5, 3.55. with headers, air kit (probably worthless) on a fresh engine and I'm getting nothing less than 20mpg. I know I could do better if I hyper-mileaged it but these drivers around here.....
tell me where i can get a hybrid turbo. i know they exist as prototypes but i have never heard of one you can currently buy.
