Default front wheel bearing/ hub not fitting

just tried putting a front hub from a 99 xj onto my 92. Well after i had it assembled noticed they were different. Atleast a 1/4 in height . does anyone know what year they changed the hubs?

I would guess they changed in 97 with the body refresh. I ran into the same issue putting 95 bearings/brakes on a 88. I ended up swapping knuckles

Not sure what year they changed offhand, but it's due to different brake rotors. I'll see if I can find an old thread on it.

Here it is!
