Front springs ?
2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport
When we recently had our leaf packs worked on (they added a leaf) - the guy suggested that at some point we also have our front springs pulled out (as in lengthened) at some point.
Any experiences appreciated.

If your going to do that just put new springs? Probably costs just as much if not less. Same for the leaf springs I would have just put new ones

Did he recommend this because the rear is riding very high now? If that is the concern, you/him could simply add 1-2" spacers on top of the front springs (they are about $35-50), and it will even out the height, and will have very little effect on the existing ride quality.
But if he recommended this because he believes the springs are worn out and no longer doing their job, then replacing them would be more appropriate.
