Front end squeking when turning
I'm hoping I'm putting this in the right place. I have a 2000 jeep Cherokee and lately I have been noticing some squeking coming from the front only when I'm turning. I did some research on Google but never turned up any sure cures for the problem. I can't figure out where it's coming from, but it's defiantly only when I'm turning, like from a stop sign or out of a parking spot. I'm not hearing any clunking or any grinding, just this squeak. Any help is much appreciated.

does it happen when you turn the wheel or when you move?
if it happens when you turn the wheel odds are something in your steering linkage has no grease in it.
if it happens when you're turning odds are good you have an axle joint that doesn't have grease in it.

It only makes the noise when I'm turning and moving at the same time. If I just turn the wheel sitting at idle it doesn't make a sound.

And if it's a axle joint, is there a way for me to grease that? And if not is it very hard to replace? And are they the same as the U joint on the drive shaft? Sorry for all the questions, I know enough to get by when working on cars but there's still a lot to learn.
