Default front end leaking oil

Alright so last night dad and I replaced ball joints on my 99 xj. Well its leaking oil out of the drivers side axle shaft...I didn't see a seal come out or anything...is there a seal or something that needs to be replaced?

you have a inner axle seal... you will have to tear it back down and take the pig out to put the new seal in, figured this out myself too... its not all tha bad tho
