Default front end grinding

I have an awfull grinding noise in my front end. First off it is not the brakes. It is continuous i.e. same sound and intensity all the time. Their is no pulling when brakes are applied. After driving for a while the hubs are not hot. I don't think it is the wheel bearings. The only other thing I could think of is carrier bearings. Any thoughts, suggestions, prior experience. Thank you.

Yeah, that's been my experience as well. Though, I've never had a wheel bearing go tjat didn't get the hub cherry red before any noise.
