2000 Cherokee Ltd. I've seen this talked about a bunch, but haven't seen a fix. I have a driveline vibration in the ft end that gets progressively worse with speed, and then gets nasty above 65mph. This is a noise, not a steering wheel shake. If I pull the ft driveshaft, all is good - so definitely NOT tires. This is a stock Jeep - no lift. I tried a new shaft (from a questionable source) and it did not help much. I checked the ft u-joints ( I physically removed the axles) and they are smooth and in good shape. It seems like it has to be the shaft, but I am hesitant to try another one. Any ideas? I am at a loss.

You sound like you know what your doing so I'm gonna ask if you could check for play in the pinion bearing. Grab the yoke and see if there is any play side by side.

Sounds like the DS is bent or the double cardan joint is bad or going bad. Try another DS from a friend that you know is good then just get one from a JY. Good luck...Tj
