Hi!

The other day I used the 4x4 for the first time in a while. I was used only briefly, and then put into 2 wheel and parked for the night. The next day I got up and started down my lane only to notice that the front end was crabbing. It was like it was still in 4 wheel, and the steering wheel was jerking a bit. I only feel it in slower turns, not driving down the road. Something is definately not right though.

Any thoughts?

 

Try shifting out and then driving in reverse for about twenty feet, then driving forward again. See if you can hear it disengage. You could try checking the linkage out or check the fluid condition (it's just ATF and easy to change).
