Default Front end colision help

WELL, this is my 2nd post. The first i was asking about a lift set up. And now asking about how im ever going to drive my xj again. I hit a van head on doing about 30. The driver of the van could have been doing more than that. the front is tore to smithereens.

My question.
Since i now have to have a new front end, es their any way yall with sum performance experience could suggest any aftermarket parts that will help. ex. high performance radiator, steering, fan, pulleys, belt. and what ever else may have got destroyed.

PICS WILL BE POSTED AS SOON AS LEGAL ISSUES ARE ADDRESSED.

thank you soo much for any info.

At least you had the stones to go face to face! I back-doored a big commercial truck yesterday. Sounds like your damage is worse than on my 92-93 XJ. Junk yard found a 94 for me. I've read on this site that our vintage XJ's are compatible up to 96. I'm usin' mine to start up a business, so it's gotta make the income, not suck it dry.

the JY will be your friend for most of the body parts as for the cooling chec k out the csf 3 row radiator they say it the best way to go but b4 you go sinking all this money back into it i would make sure the frame isnt damaged these rigs have noo frame strength what so ever even the smallest fender bender can cause some issues to me it sound slike your may not even be salvagable after a wreck like that but good luck either way

i just stripped it all down, and low and behold a bent frame. It ts only bent/messed up about 8 to 15 inches from the front of the frame. Whatt do you think jd4x426? it doesnt look extremely bad. Could i chop cut rebuild ? or wat.? i want to go the cheapest way. and then decide to up grade. since its all out in the open.

really wish i could post pics. but not a good idea just yet says dad.

Its probably not worth fixing. If the frame is tweaked and the whole front end is demolished it will cost way more to fix then it would to buy a cheap used XJ.

Even if you straighten the rails it will probably never be the same again and you probably pushed your front axle back some. check the control arm mounts to make sure they are not bent or ripped off.

do you have any pics of the damage as said depending on how far back it bent it might not be worth it. If it didnt go back to where any of the suspension or steering mounts it might be fixable post some pics and see if i can help take pics of the frame damage also take a picture of the gap between the fender and front door that is usually a good indicator as how bad the damage is on these rigs

Just put a huge brush guard on it and it will make the frone end look pretty again
It's a jeep if the frame is bent it just adds character, and may make it wobble while driving but jeeps do that anyway lol

I think it would be neat to use a 97-01 front clip on your jeep. Its been done many times and is pretty much a bolt on deal but you need just about everything.

Fix it decent and make it safe and wheel the **** out of it. my .02

Get another Cherokee and Scrap that one out.
Unibody Frame is not worth fixing, Cherokees are a Dime a Dozen.
You could find one cheap that could use your motor, Tranny, or other parts.

if yours runs good get one that has a bad motor or trans for a couple hundred bucks and swap everything over or part yours out and take the money and buy another one. From what you have been saying it sounds like you have frame damage i cant tell for sure without seeing it in person but i would never recomend riving any vehichle that has frame damage
