I've got some clunking in the front end of my XJ. It happens during slow speed maneuvers only when I'm turning, such as backing out of the driveway, then turning to go forward and during other slow parking lot type maneuvers. Feels like under my feet. Could it be control arms, hub assembly, tie rods? I replaced the tie rod/drag link with ZJ V8 parts but it clunked before that??? Thanks.
Turning makes me think it's the trackbar or maybe the sway bar bushings (links and main bar). Have someone turn the wheel back and forth while you watch every joint for play, especially the trackbar frame/axle joint.

you are going to need to get under there and start inspecting things. Look at the ball joints, axle u-joints, drive shaft u-joints, track bar, tie rods and all the bushings under there..
