Default front end accident (WITH PICS!)

Just a little fender bender, ill spare you guys the story. Just the damage that was done, and a broken brake line that was pretty rusty anyways. pretty much i wanna know if that little part that is crushed in circled in red (i think it was designed to as a safety thing?) can be un crushed. beating it out with a hammer isnt really working. I only ask because i need it out to line up the new fender Ill get. If not, i measured it and i think i can get something to work, id just rather know in my head its back in shape. thanks!

Get a bigger hammer IMO. Or, cut a chunk out of a junkyard XJ and replace the damaged area (did that once after hitting a tree.)

It's really not that bad. You can try to pound it out but like Dan91 said you may be better off cutting it out and replacing it. That is if you have a welder and know how to weld.
Keep use updated on your progress.

Retain original sheetmetal whenever possible.

Get a hammer and dolly and whale the tar out of it.

looks like i will be whacking then, haha. most of today was spent getting the panels off and attacking the broken brake line. i was going to splice in a new line but the flare tool wasnt working too hot and i kinked my first line as well. i dont wanna use a compression fitting really so i think i will just attempt to replace the whole front line from the brake master cylinder back.

on top of it all? while i was working on the jeep at my parents, my room mate called and informed me our apartment was busted into. haha. what a great day.
