Hey guys, happy holidays. Well the xj was down for about a month inwhich i had my front driveshaft out. I start to install it the other day and it seized in. The driveshaft wont extend so I can install it. Short of buying another, anybody have a remedy for this. Thanks..
use a tool to apply more force to assist it? if something is seized and it does break, then it was bound to happen and better on the ground than when on the jeep. my replacement from the JY was like 90 bucks, so there is that, too...
I had the same issue. With a grease gun i pumped the slip joint full of grease. Then, stuck the drive shaft in a vise and tapped it forward and reverse with a mallet until it started to slip smooth again. Hope it works for you.
