Default Front Disk Brakes Won't Work

After replacing the front disc brakes along with the drivers side caliper on my 97 cherokee sport the brakes won't work. I pumped the brakes and everything but no response from them. Any suggestions?

Since you did not mention it yet, I have to ask.

Did you bleed the brake hydraulic system?

Well I'm just saying if you put a caliper on a vehicle, then you have opened a brake line. At the very least, that line has to be bled. Better to bleed the whole system though.

I would agree to bleed the entire system. And if you pulled off the cap to check the fluid make sure it is completely sealed so you dont lose pressure out the top end.
