Front Caliper Pistons - metal or phenolic?

Picked up the parts today. The reman calipers look brand new, all four of them. They are nicely painted, and coated with some kind of waxy coating. Not a bit of rust anywhere.
I'll see what's on there now, evaluate the core charge issue, and make a decision on putting in the steel or phenolic tomorrow. I'm leaning strongly in the direction of the phenolic. We use salt on the roads around here....

Good news. I had the phenolics, and that's what's going back in.

Just for a wrap, Aug of 11 I put a pair on my 90 that looked nice as Mark explains. Nice touch that the pad retainer bolts were Hex. My road drops 1,500 Ft in three miles, (tough on brakes), and they are fine as we speak.
