Front brake squeak enablers (anti rattle clips)
THEY SUCK! Is there anybody that can talk me out of just deleting them? I can get new ones no problem but I'm wondering if anybody is running without them and how much rattle you may actually be getting? At low speed my brakes squeak and drive me nuts. The clips were in pretty bad shape as it was, and they just kinda sag and then ride the edge of the rotor. I kinda thought they'd eventually just wear on through and then be quiet but no...

use them
without them the pads actually vibrate just enough to cause the annoying squeel! reinstall them or get new. another suggestion is to glue pads to caliper to stop squeel? just a thought. good luck! i cant stand noisy brakes!!!

I could not get the new ones to even stay on, I tried every configuration I could think of. I ended up leaving them off. (no noises.)

I just did my brakes and used the clips with ceramic pads, quiet as can be, take some pics of your pads and clips and I'll try to explain how everything peices together. Do you have your pads installed correctly? On the pads there are two sides, a single ear then the double ear, single goes on top, double on bottom, clips go in the slot on the bottom double ear. Specs between pad clip and slide on the bottom is supposed to be a minimum of .010 and a max. Of .015, get some feeler gauges and measure it out, and also don't forget to derust the knuckle slide points, clean and grease the pins, and grease the slide points. Measuring is key then put the right size clip in there, also if you have pad hammer dents in the knuckle slide points you may want to try to grind them out a bit, the pads will hang in them and not release sometimes causing nvh (noise vibration harshness) issues. I hope that helps someone out!
