Hey guys,

I think one of my front axle u joints may be toast. I'm getting a kind of pulsating / clanking making hard left turns. I haven't actually gotten around to poking around at the joint to see, but I figured what the hell I ought to have an extra on hand if it's not the problem (anyone have any other ideas?).

I think that I need a "Position 9" joint? Is that right? I'm ordering through advance because I need a new trans mount that I'm buying while I'm at it.

Oh, by the way this got noticeably worse after using 4wd in our first snowstorm of the year a few weeks ago.

Don't know what diagram your looking at.

 

I just replaced my Passenger side front dana 30 Axel U Joint I used the Spicer 5-760X U joint. Its the replacement for the factory Spicer 5-297X U Joint. But mine was a 96 Cherokee so don't know if it differ's from your year or not.
