Default Front axle reinstall

2000 Sport. 63k miles

A repair forced me to remove the front axle. I have replaced both upper and lower control arms and the track bar. I am now putting it back together. The control arms are attached but when I went to install the track bar as the next step, I am one inch from being able to slide the bolt through the hole. I really don't want to take the arms off as it was hard to get them to line up. Suggestions, help?

You can use a ratchet strap or come-along to help align the axle and get the mounting holes to line up.

If you have someone that can help you I have them start it up, turn the wheel to see which way it needs to go as they are turning it, it should should shift the jeep enough that you can get the bolt in

Is the Jeep on jackstand or on it's own weight?

It will be easier to install the TB on it's own weight.

On stands. The axles and stearingknuckles were taken off. This is just getting back together. I guess I can reassemble all but the track arm. Just a little reluctant to have everything on with something not fitting.

Thanks for the advice.

You will have it in two minutes if you do the track bar last and just have someone turn the wheel while you put the bolt in
