so a while ago i went to change my ball joints but the one hole was wallowed out and the new ball joint wouldnt saty in so we measured the "c" and found out the previouse owner must have bent it somehow.. so i need a new axle where can i get one that will bolt it. i need something cheap, i work at a grocery store haha. its a 2000 xj. the junkyard around me wants 375 for the axle.....

 

Either the jy or if someone is parting out an xj

 

how can i tell what the gearing is, so i get the right gearing also

 

There should be a metal tag on the diff cover with the gear ratio on it

Damn 375 is alot ill sell you my front axle ill buy a a jy one by me for 100 and keep the 275 for my self

 

I screwed up and did not nab a HP 30 one week went back the next week the whole jeep was gone .

Im about to get rid of my HP d30 (came of a 99) because it hits the front exhaust pipe where the front cats are. (Mine is a 2000 model) gonna have to replace it with the a factory LP. Ground clearance isnt an issue for me. Not doing any extreme off roading.

 

Finally somebody spells axle right, iv seen 2 threads with it in the title spelled wrong

Well idk i gotta find a lp 30 first then swap so it might not be for a while before i can sell it lol. $150 its in great shape. Ive never taken it offroad. 3.55 ratio.
