X2 seems like every 5 speed has just had the living **** driven out of em...can under stand why though...i would too

ya thats the upside of auto's...they come stock with 3.55's and rarely 3.7sumthings...

In the manual, there's more to adjusting the Throttle Valve cable than what was shown. You also have to get under the truck and get dirty. If you're going to do something, at least do the whole job.

I'm in Mich. on a borrowed lap-top while visiting family, and can't access my files in Tenn. If I can find the info on-line I'll post it on here. I can't recall the details, but there are things you need to do from underneath as well as the mentioned cable-end adjustment. Maybe someone will post the info before I can try and find it.
really. well my truck when driving seems to not downshift right away when i step on it, and when im cruising at steady speed seems like it will try to upshift for a split second then go back. could this cable adjustment fix my problem?

Yes. it basically adjusts the trans to better compensate for where the pedal is, when you step on it the trans will downshift, and it will stay in gear better and not go from 3rd to 4th for a few seconds then drop back to 3rd. Awesome free fix
