Frame rail problem
Had my '99 Cherokee up on a lift for exhaust work when a section of the frame rail gave out (rust) just ahead of the rear axle. Is this the end of the line for this truck? Is it safe to drive?

How bad is the rust? (pics would help)
Is it isolated to that one spot or is there rust throughout the frame or other parts of the vehicle?
If it isn't too bad and is isolated to one area it could be plated or cut out the bad section and weld in a new one.
If there is lots of rust throughout the vehicle it probably isn't worth fixing.
