I plan on getting the neon injectors and was just wondering if I would have to buy anything else right away to swap them in.

And roughridenxj- Those are the right ones for the Ford style injectors. The 603 number is for the Neon injectors. The 700 amd 710 are Ford style injectors which also work.
I'm sorry, you're right, 96 and up you do not need the pressure regulator. 95 and older you do. and pre 91 will need a 91-95 fuel rail as well.

The neon injectors are from the 95-97 SOCH neons and end in 703.

No problem, man. Also while we're clearing up everything. If you have a 99 and want to use the Neon injectors, you'll need an adapter because the connector was changed in 99.

Or get injectors from a 1998-1999 neon part number 208 155 784 which will have the right (uscar) plug for a 99-01 XJ.

Or the ford Ford 22.8# injector xr3z-a4b

But just double check with the 99 as it was a cross over year, going from the older plugs to the newer style.

Ok, now I confused from reading this thread and the links on it it seems that the Ford 19# injectors are EV1.3, not EV6 and so would only have a single hole. But looking on Ebay ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/87-88...item4cee08cd56 ) these appear to be the same Ford injectors but have four holes. What gives?

For a start a ford 19# fuel injector is just that, it does not indicate anything about the injector design.
There are alot of ford19# injectors kicking around of different designs.
from the link:
THESE ARE THE NEWER DESIGN 2 BOSCH INJECTORS, THEY FEATURE THE 4-HOLE DISCHARGE WHICH SPLITS THE SQUIRT OF FUEL INTO 4 SMALLER SQUIRTS, GREATLY INCREASING FUEL ATOMIZATION AND MILEAGE OVER THE OLDER SINGLE PINTLE DESIGN.

EV1.3 = bosh Design 1
EV ? = Bosh Design 2
EV6 = Bosch Design 3

The EV designation is used by Bosh itself. The Design 2 bosch designation, I believe, is a kind of industry shorthand (which we don't use hereabouts).
Regardless it is and older technology to the Modern EV6 Injectors, and If it were me I would give the whole #19 ford injector thing a miss and just get neons.
Good luck with it.

Thanks, now if only I could find a deal on the neon ones like you can for the Ford ones!
