there is a local XJ sport for sale, it has 55,000 miles on it, great shape, clean, stock, auto, and the asking price is $8500. is this a good deal or too high? thanks.

Pretty top $$ for an XJ, it would have to be immaculate-the low mileage is worth something though. Remember the higher you start out...the spending just keeps happening after you buy it with continuous upgrades/repairs...

Maybe attach some pics of it.

high price. make sure theres no rust, maybe try and talk down a bit also

Big difference for a Good deal, down here in the lower 48 compared to Y'all up in Alaska. Check blue book value on kbb.com, as a start. $8500 would be ridiculously high for any XJ here, no matter the condition or miles. But up there, IDK??? What year, options?

Sounds a little high. I got a 48k 2000 for 6300 with leather interior heated seats etc. so id negotiated it downnn

I paid $4700 for my 2000 XJ Classic down here in Phoenix. Only 83000 miles. Only thing wrong with it was the NSS had to be adjusted and the drivers side window regulator is grinding when it reaches the end of its travel. Also had to flush the cooling system real good. Otherwise, it looks to be in factory condition.

$8500 is pretty expensive for an xj. If it were like new with 1 mile then maybe but with 55k miles thats a bit high. But I live in NC so maybe thats what they go for in Alaska.
