thanks for the input tho
yes, they do mount.

I put xj mounts on a 2001 TJ motor. there are no notable differences in the bosses and/or mounting points on 4.0 blocks.

Glad to hear you went with the stroker. $1200 for a stroker with zero miles is a deal and a half.

for the sake of knowledgeable argument, IIRC they have the same bosses, and the only difference is that the xj ones are not drilled out, whereas the TJ ones are. simple to fix that issue.

SET THE PISTON RINGS?

go easy on it dude...you rev it, you'll blow it. drive it for around 5k miles, and THEN beat on it.

got this info Directly from the jeep cherokee 4.0 manual.
this is not word for word writting

-start the motor, let in idle tell it reaches normal temp, shut it down, check fluid level

-take it out to a low traffic area, slowly bring it up to 30, then full throttle 30-50 then closed throttle, idle back down to 30, repeat 10-12 times.
this properly seats the piston rings. shutdown, recheck fluid levels.

-for the next 500-600 miles do not hold a constant high speed.
change oil and filter.

-for the next 2000 miles, don't pamper it or drive aggressively. drive normal
change oil and filter.

-consider your motor broken -in

Read your Manual!

I never said to hold speed. I said not to beat on it.

and break-in on a stroker needs to be a bit more gentle than on a regular 4.0...
