Default found another jeep cherokee need some advice as well

hey guys sorry if im posting to much bout the jeep cherokees, but i want to make sure i buy a good one and for a good price.

this is the one i might go look at today and get it if its worth.

http://bn.craigslist.org/cto/1793606440.html

thats the link to the info about it and pics.

currently i offered him 1000 but he said he wont take anything less then 1200 for it because he has some other offers and the lowest one was 1200 just the other guys cant take a look at it today and he said if i go today he will give it to me for 1200.

Now is that cherokee worth the 1200 the rust spots are very small on it i got some pics from him and they are by the driver and passenger door where the hinges are so where the door opens up its between there, and thats it im sure i could sand that down and repaint it or do something with it.

just my main concern is is that worth the 1200 considering i got about 2 and half hour drive to get there.

other than that everything else works and no problems with it at least thats what he said, only thing its missing is the roof rack thing but im guessing i could get one if i want.

let me know and thank you all for the help i really appreciate it.

That's a really good price. That Jeep looks to be in great condition, and with only minimal amounts of rust, and pretty low mileage. If the interior and engine are as clean as the body, 1200 is a better price than i've found for a cherokee like that round these parts.

I bet it is already sold. They go fast, so you better have cash in hand when you look at it.

My 98... in Michigan has some rust...
It's not the hinge areas you need to worry about, those usually end up being cosmetic. It'd be the underside of the doors, or under the driver side doorwell step plate that can really start to cave. Don't forget though, guys are always parting these things out, usually for a front or rear hit, making the doors one of the easy things to remove and replace. Usually cheap, so I wouldn't worry.

The good thing about a little rust here and there is that it's hard to hide if it's been hit and repainted. The new(er) parts will be shiny new, rust free.

Overall,
cash-in-hand, definitely worth the drive, it looks good-

Be sure to grab a test drive.
