don't know why you'd need the frame for the XJ. Cherokees are uni-body, so having a second frame is kinda silly.

the axles are Dana44, which are a nice upgrade. you can use the drivetrain (engine, trans, and transfer case), but you are going to have to do some fabrication and reconfiguring for the sensors and fuel delivery system. i'm not sure about the transfer case (the Rock-Trac) and it's configuration, but i believe it is like the NP231, but with an SYE already installed on it.

rough idea on what you'll need to do to get all of it to work, but if you have the knowhow, i'm pretty sure it can all be put into an XJ

I know i don't need the frame but its a rolling chassis. I was just wondering if it would be worth it to get the axles and stuff them under my xj. I believe they have front and rear lockers.

Yes they have front and rear lockers, you would just need to wire everything up to work in your XJ. They are Rubicon Dana 44 axles. The rear is a true D44, but the front is a LOW PINION D44 center section, and everything else is the exact same as your Dana 30 (shafts, knuckles, brakes, steering, etc). The only advantage to swapping that axle in is for deeper gears. I believe you can go to 5.38's on it. Strength wise, most consider a well built HP D30 stronger than a LP D44. Also the T-case will bolt right up with some minor modification, and it's a 4:1 low range, so yes it's a great upgrade. I see them sell for $1000-$1200 on 4x4 forums all the time.

Whatever you don't need or use can be sold on e-bay or CL to help recoup some costs on your part. IN FACT, if you don't want the t-case let me know. I'll give ya $100 for it.

^ trying to swindle a great deal, eh? lol

in the long run, it would not be a bad investment at all. all those parts total new would run you a few grand easily, so $800 on all of it, that's a steal.
