Default fog light help

So I got new fog lights today and I want to know if I can hook them up with the factory wires if I splice them, that's coming off the new lights. Also I can't get the fog switch to work. I have and 89 what underhood relays do I need to check?

The OEM fogs are wired thru the headlights to turn off when high beams are on. So wiring thru them would allow you to use this feature. But it think the OEM system is only meant for low wattage, so be careful your not going to overload it.
Have you checked the fusses and wiring or anything to see if the switch is shorted or anything? Im pretty sure you can just replace the switch with a JY one or a new switch if nothing else.

After going through this and knowing the flimsy wiring the manufacturer insists on providing, I would strongly recommend installing a separate simple harness for your fogs.

Connect to battery and switch and avoid the messy relay splices. Not worth the hassle trying to fit to the existing harness..

Good decision to go this route. Make sure that you put in a relay or you have the possibility of melting your wires and or new switch.

Well, When i put my lights on I just found an existing wire harness that goes through the fire wall and put a small hole in the rubber grommet and fed the wires through that. If you absolutely feel that you need a hole for the wires you can always drill one but first make sure you don't drill through anything other then the fire wall and what ever you do don't for get to put a grommet in the new hole.
