I'm planning on restoring my stock fog lamps in my 2000 xj sometime soon. There must be a crack in both of them somewhere, because they are both getting pretty swampy inside.

1st, is it possible to replace the bulb within the assembly? or do I have to just buy a new set of fog lights? I know the bulb is a 55w h3, but I don't know if i will be able to get to it without breaking the light.

2nd, would I be able to drop a xenon h3 in it to replace it? I believe that you need some type of conversion kit when switching to xenon in a normal headlight, but I may be mistaken. I recently bought the Truck-lite LED headlights, and fogs with a cooler temperature to match would look much better. (outstanding headlights, btw. worth every penny.)

1)Yes it is possible to replace the bulb in the assembly. Simply unscrew the bottom plates on the fogs to replace the light.

2) You should be good to go. I replaced mine with halogens and they work fine, however my new fogs came with bulbs installed so checked your new set first unless you are going for the xexon look.
