I forgot to add that this way you can flush the block and the radiator separately. Thus keeping all the crap in the block from clogging the radiator and vise versa and don't forget to use coolant

Well, you may be lucky. Running plain water will not only rust your radiator but will also destroy your water pump bearings... And if you lived in Northeast like some of us, it can also destroy a bunch of other stuff along the way...

Agreed. A tiny drain in an awkward place. If you DO get it loose, you risk some piece of crud jamming in there and you can't close it. Also on the right day everything can go wrong and you have a real mess. (as said^)

Don't forget to add 3.5 gallons of coolant mix!

X2^ Antifreeze is "anti Boil" also. Also I believe there are issues with plain water and aluminum in that "environment". (heat and pressure), not sure about that though.

I did once have an aluminum pump housing rot through on a Bonneville.

Don't buy that 50/50 mix garbage.

Stop at a grocery store and get distilled water for $.75 per gallon.

Much cheaper!

It doesn't have all the minerals and stuff in it that start to clog up your radiator

Helps prevent scaling and what not 90% of the reasons have been debunked by science but it's cheap enough that it's just easier to use
