I was planning on replacing my heater core over the weekend; it is currently bypassed. But, I was also wanting to change the valve cover gasket and flush the cooling system.
I realize the heater core will be a long drawn out job; taking up the better part of the day. So, I will stick to just doing the radiator flush and change the valve cover gasket.
My question is... Since the heater core is currently bypassed, what would be the best possible attack for flushing the radiator?

Remove both hoses from the stat cover and the bottom hose from the water pump. Stick a garden hose in the top rad hose, then stick the garden hose in the heater hose nipple on the stat cover.
