Default FLUID LEAK

Was sitting in a lot of traffic on the way home from work today. Parked my 2000 XJ in the driveway and 20 min later discovered a decent amount of light brown fluid leaking out from under the front of my jeep. Puddle ran from just under the driverside headlight... Could this be power steering fluid?? Did not smell much at all and was rusty brown in color. No leaking since then, any thought??

Sounds like a transmission leak. I have one on mine and have yet to fix it . If it's not a very big leak then it will only leak when the motor is hot. Try turning the car on and letting it run for about 5 minutes and see if it starts leaking again.

edit: Sorry misunderstood where you said the leak was coming from, did it run to the headlight or did it start at the headlight?

If you have the tranny cooler in your rad it might be leaking at that hose, that happened to me but only because when we replaced my rad we had to cut the connection and put a clamp on it and the clamp gave loose about 2 months ago, I'm still drippin a little but nones getting outta the hose

Find whatever fluid is the same color and you have your culprit.

Check levels on transmission and power steering with the dipsticks, but this could easily be COOLANT. Check hoses and the weep hole on the water pump. If the weep hole is leaking, failure of the water pump isn't far behind.

BTW, rusty brown isn't a good color for ANY fluid. Consider changing whatever fluid is that color! Fluids are the lifeblood of the vehicle.
