Fluctuation oil psi now staying at 0?
Ok, this morning, it was around 40 psi at idle, then dropped to like 25 as I was driving, then whenever I stopped it would go to 0 and 25 under acceleration. Then on the way home ( after I started it up again) it was normal for a minute, then went to 0 even under acceleration and at idle. I checked my dipstick and the oil level was good but really dirty (its been about 4 months since the last change). Anyone know what would cause this? Thanks!

no... but are you leaking any oil at all... if you have a big oil leak it will affect oil pressure

Oil pressure sending unit is the primary suspect. If the engine isn't making any noise, it is very unlikely that you have zero oil pressure.
Either verify with a mechanical oil pressure gauge, or replace the sending unit. With a MOPAR unit. Your best bet for reliability/accuracy/mating with your factory gauge.

I have this same problem with my 01. Already replaced the Oil Pressure Sensor.....not with a Mopar one though. No changes in the problem. At the time I was thinking back to the time my TJ did this to me and that fixed it....no luck this time. You really think using a Mopar sensor makes any difference?

I was actually thinking of running a can of Sea Foam through the engine for a few hundred miles then changing the oil again (just changed it 350 miles ago, no change in the fluctuation) and see if that makes any difference.
