Default Flowmaster super 40 vs super 44

Does anyone prefer one model over the other, or are they mostly the same? And what are your options for the best 4.0 muffler?
Thanks everyone

the super 40 sounded better on mine that the super 44, the 44 gave mine more of a ricer tone..... the 40 is deeper toned.

The Thrush welded muffler is half the cost of the FM40/44 and sounds great. Extremely similar in construction as well.

A 4.0 straight six will always sound "ricer" no matter what, quiet always draws a lot less attention from the 5-0.< that's a good thing.

I believe I have the 40 under mine, and it sounds good, nice tone, not loud, no drone, but if you are behind me and I get on it, you can tell she has the I6

I have the super 44 with a high flow cat and 2.5" piping. It sounds nice and deep at idle and not much, if any drone at high way speed. Even when the carpet was pulled and I had massive holes in the cargo area, it wasn't all that bad
