Flowmaster problem
I have a 90 xj, 4.0 aw4 np231. with 2 inch lift front and 3 in the rear. Anyone ever have a problem with there flowmaster super 44 rubbing on there driveshaft? I've had it for two years now and have never had a problem till just a few months ago. I took it off for now so its just straight piped which I don't like, I would like to solve this so I can have my 44 back. Thanks

Nothing has rusted off..yet. And exhaust pipe is all bolted on tight. I haven't had it off roading much within the last year to actually bend anything.

okay I will, although it has a header in it now, its not the stock exhaust manifold. But I'll give everything a check over again. Thanks for all the answers soo far.

Sometimes mufflers have offset ends, or one end is offset.
So if the Flowmaster has center inlet & outlet, maybe it (the old stock muffler) had offset ends before. It might only be an inch or two, but if it's hitting the drive shaft, that might be why.
