I meant adhesives being stronger for quarter panels and such. I didn't think it would be ideal for floor pans. Just wondered if anyone tried it. Looks like I know what I'll be doing this summer.

well you're talking about it in a thread specifically for floor pans, and didn't mention it was for something other than floor pans. The adhesive is still not stronger than welding nor a better alternative.

It doesn't matter if it's sheet metal or structural shapes by welding you are making 2 pieces of metal ONE solid piece of metal there is no way adhesive is stronger than a weld. I have welded lots of sheet metal too and have never had an engineer call out on blueprints to spray glue in metal and I am sure that is for a reason

I can tell what will happen with the adhesive water, salt, dirt will get into the space between the sheets rust and expand and tear it right off I've seen that happen to bolted connections joining 1/2 and greater pieces of steel and shear 3/4 inch bolts

Yep. Gaps = rust. It's only a question of time.

Those Lincoln 125s are pretty solid. My buddy used one to patch my vehicle up a bit.
