Default Floor Pan Rust!

Well, after owning a Cherokee for a few days I found this.




Kind of hard to tell from crappy cell phone pic but that is asphalt that you can see through a hole in the passenger side floorboard.
Already knew that the transmission was coming out to repair a leaking freeze plug so at least doing both of these at the same time will make life easier..

After several hours o work I have this.

Factory spot welds were removed on three sides and a cut was made down the tunnel to remove old pans with all the rot.

New pans welded in.

Next up will be installing the seat bracket. The old one had a few issues.

Where did you get the floor pans from and how much did they cost?

I know there is many places to get them but fit i know can sometimes be way off and we all know when they fit better it makes our lives much easier haha

I ordered them online from Raybuck. The fit was perfect and they use the thicker, 18 gauge metal.
