Default Floor Boards are Very Warm

I always take my carpet out of mu jeep is the summer and this is my 3rd Xj and I don't think that its supposed to be this warm on the trans tunnel. Its pretty hot on the passenger side and not as bad on the driver side. Is this normal or do I need to replace a trans cooler.

While a trans cooler wouldn't hurt, what you are seeing is pretty normal.
