Much easier to flat tow. Who wants to crawl up underneath every time you want to go, or when you get there?

Also, who wants to mess with a tow dolly? Just something else you have to license, pay taxes on, and maintain. Plus you have to store it when your not using it. Usually you have to take it off and move it manually if you have to back into a camping spot.

I prefer to flat tow .if I can't for some reason I will just get a flatbed /car hauler . Really don't want to though just do to storage etc .

If you want to go through the trouble, hook everything up again. This time start the engine and let it idle. If you have a helper, have them follow behind you in another vehicle.

If it will follow behind the motorhome properly with the power steering assist, that just about proves your tires may be too wide.

Sometimes the simplest of things, but the bar needs to be close to level also.

Roadmaster recommends 3 degrees +/- is the maximum angle of deflection.
