flashing check engine light
my check engine light just came on a couple days ago so i had it scanned. code read that the fuel cap wasnt sealing right or somethin like that so i didnt worry about it. today i parked at work and the jeep started shaking pretty bad and the check engine light started flashing.
i had to drive it back to work, and it was acting like it wasnt getting enough power and would start shaking again whenever i would stop at a light or a stop sign. i dont want to drive it like this, but i have no other way to get to work or to class. what does this sound like it could be and what can i do to fix it asap?
thanks a million,
brad

sounds like you have a misfire. The Check engine light will flash when there isnt something right with the motor that will damage the catilitic(spelling) converter. I.E. Misfire causing raw fuel to be dumped into the exhaust harming the cat.
the code is probably P0455 Evap Large Leak detected, I.e. loose gas cap, loose evap hose, etc.
Check for anything out of place under the hood, loose vacuum hoses, etc.
