Fixing rust just JB Weld?
Has anyone done this? Has s cracked, chipped, etc without autside harm done to it like an accident? I have no idea how to weld, and I dont know anyone with a welder. Should I use the original cold weld (two tubes that mix together), or the steel putty stuff?
FYI, I am not thinking about just laying it over the rust I mean cutting it out and putting sheet metel where the hole is and using the JB to keep it there.

It wont work but you can overlap the new piece (depending on where it is) and rivit, bolt or even use some body tape or glue like the stuff holding our xj's together. Welding would be best. If its a small hole 1"ish then long hair bondo or fiberglass works.
