Fitting a new fueltank
Hey!
I'm replacing my fuel tank for my -88 XJ and having some issues with getting it in place and the new lockring for the fuel pump.
The belts for holding the tank are very difficult to get in place, is just brute force something needed for them to get in place to be able to lock them to the strap bolt?
The lock ring for the fuel pump, how is that exactly fitted? Is it before or after the metal "bracket" holding connecting all the wires etc? Any diagram or picture guide to get it on. I'm guessing it is before the bracket but do you need to disconnect allt the fuel leads and electrical wires going in or is there a cheat way to do it?
